Our Mission

EchoSaid is an independent project that collects, verifies, and makes accessible public statements by politicians and public figures. Our goal is to create a transparent database of quotes with verifiable sources, helping citizens track what politicians have said and how their views change over time.

Methodology

Every quote in our database goes through a verification process:

Primary Source - Every quote must have a link to the original source (video, article, press release)
Verification - Moderators verify the authenticity of the source and accuracy of the citation
Date Precision - We indicate the precision of the date (day, month, year)
Quote Type - We distinguish between verbatim quotes and paraphrases
Archive - When possible, we archive sources in case they are removed

Trusted Sources

We prioritize these types of sources:

Official records (parliamentary broadcasts, press conferences)
Reputable news media
Wikiquote with cited references
Archive services (archive.org, archive.today)

Transparency

EchoSaid is a community project. Anyone can suggest a new quote or correct an existing one. All suggestions go through moderation before publication.
